What's the difference between Premium and Standard Evening Safari?
Both tiers use 4x4 SUV pickup, visit the same Bedouin camp, and serve the same BBQ buffet, shows, and drinks. Premium adds three upgrades: a longer 25-30 min high-dune route (Standard runs a shorter route), a dedicated sunset photo stop on a high dune, and priority majlis seating closer to the stage at camp. The price difference is AED 40 per person — most guests who pick Premium say the longer dune route alone is worth it.
Is the 4x4 pickup private to my group, or shared with strangers?
On the Sharing tier (AED 119/person), the 4x4 SUV picks up your group plus up to 2-3 other guests heading to the same camp — direct from your hotel, no bus stops or meeting points. On the Private tier (AED 699/vehicle), the 4x4 is exclusively yours — up to 6 guests, your own driver, and you control the pickup time within a 30-min window.
What does "priority majlis seating" actually mean?
The camp has cushioned majlis-style floor seating arranged in concentric rows around the central stage. Premium guests are seated in the first 1-2 rows — closest to the Tanoura, belly dance, and fire show performers. Standard guests sit further back. If you're traveling with kids or want clear video footage of the shows, this is the meaningful Premium upgrade.
Does Premium include quad bike or dune buggy?
Quad bike and dune buggy are not included in any of our safari tiers — they're separate add-ons because not every guest wants them. You can add either at booking or on the day, and prices depend on duration and seat count. Message us on WhatsApp for current rates.
Can I add extras (quad bike, alcohol, etc.) on the day instead of pre-booking?
Yes — quad bike, dune buggy, and alcoholic drinks at the camp can all be added on the day. Pay our driver or at the camp directly (cash or card both work). For quad bike specifically, we recommend pre-booking during peak season (Nov-Feb) since slots fill up.
Are children charged the same as adults for Premium?
Children under 3 are completely free — they ride on a parent's lap during dune bashing and don't take a separate camp seat. Children 3 and older are charged the same as adults (AED 119 sharing / counted toward the 6-person limit on Private). This is industry-standard for desert safaris in Dubai because the per-vehicle and per-camp costs are the same regardless of guest size.
How far in advance should I book Premium?
Off-peak (April-October): 1-2 days ahead is usually fine. Peak season (November-March, especially weekends and holidays): book 4-7 days ahead. Premium sells out faster than Standard because of the limited 4x4 capacity and priority seating spots. Same-day bookings are sometimes possible — message us on WhatsApp first to check availability.
What happens if there's a sandstorm or heavy rain?
Heavy weather is rare but real — sandstorms occur 2-3 days a year, rain even less. If conditions make dune bashing unsafe, we either reschedule to another day at no charge, or run a modified version (skip dune bashing, full camp + dinner + shows experience). Your call. We never operate when it's unsafe — driver safety record is non-negotiable for us.
