About these terms

These terms apply when you book any tour, activity or ride with DANI ADANI TOURISM GUIDANCE SERVICES CO., trading as Dubai Desert Ventures (“DDV”, “we”, “us”), a tour operator licensed by the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism.

Booking and confirmation

• Submitting a booking request through our website is a request, not a confirmed reservation. Your booking is confirmed only when we contact you by WhatsApp, phone or email to confirm it.
• We aim to respond to booking requests within 30 minutes during operating hours.
• We may decline or be unable to accept a booking, for example when a date is fully booked or conditions make the activity unsafe.

Prices and payment

• All prices are in UAE Dirhams (AED).
• No advance payment is required. Payment is made on the day of your tour. Accepted payment methods are confirmed when we confirm your booking.
• Prices shown on the website are current at the time of viewing and may change seasonally. The price confirmed to you at the time of booking is the price you pay.
• Buggy prices are charged per vehicle. Quad bike prices are charged per person. Where the number of riders exceeds the seats in one vehicle, additional vehicles are charged accordingly.

Cancellations and changes

Our cancellation terms are set out in full in our Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Pickup and meeting points

• Where your tour includes hotel pickup, we will confirm a pickup window in advance. Pickup times vary by area and are approximate, as they depend on traffic and other collections.
• Please be ready at the agreed pickup point at the start of your window. If we cannot reach you and you cannot be contacted, the booking may be treated as a no-show.
• Quad bike and dune buggy rides are meeting-point based unless booked as part of a safari package that includes transfers. We will send the exact location when your booking is confirmed.

Safety, fitness and conduct

Desert activities involve inherent risks, including uneven terrain, vehicle movement over dunes, and exposure to heat and sun. By taking part you accept these risks.

• You must follow all safety instructions given by our guides and staff at all times.
• Safety equipment we provide, including helmets and harnesses, must be worn for the duration of the activity.
• We may refuse participation, or stop an activity, if in our reasonable judgement a guest is unfit to take part, is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, is behaving unsafely, or is ignoring instructions. No refund is due in these cases.
• Guests are responsible for declaring any medical condition that could be affected by the activity. Dune bashing and self-drive rides are not suitable for pregnant women, or for guests with back, neck, heart or similar conditions.

Age and licence requirements

• No driving licence is required to drive a quad bike or dune buggy on our routes.
• Minimum ages apply to each activity and are stated on the relevant tour page. If you are unsure whether an activity suits everyone in your party, please ask us before booking.
• Guests under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms on their behalf.

Damage to equipment

Guests who drive our vehicles are expected to do so responsibly and within the instructions given. You may be held responsible for damage caused by reckless driving or by deliberately ignoring safety instructions. Where a security deposit is required for a self-drive vehicle, the amount and the conditions for its return are confirmed to you before the activity begins.

Photography

Our guides may take photographs during tours. We may use these for marketing, including on our website and social media. If you prefer not to appear in any photograph used this way, please tell your guide and we will respect that.

Weather and operational changes

Desert conditions can change. For safety reasons we may alter a route, shorten an activity, change timings or cancel a tour. Where we cancel, the terms in our Cancellation Policy apply.

Personal belongings

Please keep valuables secure and avoid bringing loose items on rides. We are not responsible for personal belongings that are lost or damaged during an activity, except where the loss is caused by our negligence.

Liability

We take safety seriously and operate as a licensed tour operator with trained guides and maintained equipment. We are responsible for loss or injury caused by our negligence or failure to meet our obligations.

We are not responsible for loss or injury resulting from a guest’s failure to follow safety instructions, from undisclosed medical conditions, or from circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability where the law does not allow it to be limited or excluded.

Insurance

We recommend that all guests hold travel insurance covering adventure activities. Details of our own operator cover are available on request.

Complaints

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and the courts of Dubai have jurisdiction over any dispute.
