On the day

Dawn to breakfast, hour by hour.

Times below are a summer day with a 4:30 AM pickup. In winter the sun rises later, and so does your pickup. Your driver sends the exact time the night before.

  1. Hotel pickup

    Your driver meets you in the lobby with a Land Cruiser or Patrol and cold water. Empty roads, quick drive.

  2. Arrive at Lehbab

    About 30 minutes out. Tyres down for the sand while you wait for first light.

  3. Sunrise photo session

    On a scouted dune as the sky goes from indigo to amber. 20–30 minutes, no rush.

  4. Arabic coffee + dates

    Hot coffee and fresh dates in the cool air as the sun climbs.

  5. Camel ride

    5–10 minutes with the sun behind you. Best photos of the trip.

  6. Dune bashing

    45–60 minutes on cooler, firmer sand. Gentle or wild, your call.

  7. Sandboarding + free time

    As many runs as you want. Add a quad, buggy or falcon photo, paid at the dunes.

  8. Back at your hotel

    Pay your driver, cash or card. Breakfast, and the whole day ahead.

What to wear
  • It’s cool before sunrise, even in summer. Wear a layer you can take off.
  • December to February, long sleeves and a light jacket.
  • Closed shoes; the sand gets everywhere.
  • Sunglasses for after sunrise.
What to bring
  • Phone or camera.
  • Sunscreen and a hat.
  • Cash or card for any add-ons and the payment on the day.
  • Water is on us.
Who it’s for

Couples, friends and families. Dune bashing is fine for most kids from about 5; for younger ones the driver keeps it gentle. It isn’t recommended if you’re pregnant or have back or neck problems. Tell your driver and he’ll go easy, or skip it.

Payment and cancellation

Nothing to pay when you book. Pay your driver after the tour, cash or card (card +5%). Free cancellation up to 24 hours before pickup.

Is the early wake-up worth it?

If you want the actual sunrise and an empty desert, yes. If the timing doesn’t matter, the Morning safari (8 AM pickup) is the same price with more sleep.

Why does the pickup time change through the year?

We time it so you’re on the dune about 15 minutes before first light. That’s around 4:30 AM in summer and later in winter, when the sun rises closer to 7 AM. Your driver sends the exact time the night before.

What if it’s cloudy?

Rare in Dubai, mostly January to March. If the forecast is fully overcast, your driver offers a free reschedule the night before, or you go anyway and skip the sunrise window. Light cloud often makes the best photos.

Is the car price really the total?

Yes. AED 549 covers the whole car, up to 6 guests: pickup, drop-off, dune bashing, sandboarding, the photo stop, camel ride, Arabic coffee, dates and water. No service charge, no VAT on top, no fuel surcharge. Quad, buggy and falcon photos are optional and paid to the operator at the dunes. We don’t mark them up.

Is it really private?

Yes. Your car, your driver, just your group. There’s no camp on the short tours and we never combine bookings, so you don’t share with anyone you didn’t bring.

Do kids pay?

Kids under 3 ride free on a lap and don’t count toward the 6 seats. Everyone 3 and older takes a seat, but the price stays AED 549 for the car whether it’s adults or kids. Kids from about 5 usually love the early start; little ones tend to sleep in the car on the way back, so bring a blanket.

Will phone photos be good enough?

Yes. Recent phones handle sunrise on red sand well. Use the wide lens and shoot bursts during the camel ride.

What if there’s a sandstorm or rain?

It’s rare, a few days a year. If it isn’t safe we reschedule for free, or cancel at no cost if you can’t move the date. We never go out when it’s unsafe.
